Yu Sheng, born in 1965 in Fujian and now based in Shenzhen, is a contemporary Chinese oil painter whose brushwork tells stories that travel across cultures and continents. A graduate of Huanggang Normal University’s Fine Arts Department, he brings both academic depth and worldly creativity to every canvas.

In 2011, Yu led a group of ten talented painters to Korea’s Jeju Island for a two-month oil painting residency at the Jeju Art Museum — blending coastal beauty with Eastern emotion. By 2015, his artistic journey took him to Sacramento Convention Center in California, where his works were warmly received during a cultural exchange exhibition. And in 2016, he joined nine other artists for a China-Korea figurative art exhibition hosted by the Korean Artists Association in Seoul.

Today, Yu Sheng is not only a prolific painter, but also an active contributor to Shenzhen’s thriving art community. He holds key roles as:

  • Member of the Guangdong Artists Association
  • Member of Shenzhen Artists Association
  • Executive Vice President of the Dafen Fine Art Industry Association
  • Secretary-General of the 5th Council of Shenzhen Dafen Art Industry Association
  • Vice Secretary-General of the Shenzhen Dafen Artists Association

If you’re looking for custom Chinese oil paintings, original artwork from Dafen Village, or want to explore the world of modern Asian figurative art, Yu Sheng’s portfolio is where tradition meets global vision.

🎨 His oil paintings are not just artworks — they are stories told in vibrant color.
