Born in 1956, Li Tiexiang is a renowned Mongolian artist and a pivotal figure in China’s oil painting landscape, celebrated for his deep roots and active leadership in Shenzhen’s DaFen Oil Painting Village. Educated at the Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts in Shenyang, where he specialized in oil painting starting in 1984, Li has developed a vibrant style that beautifully melds Mongolian cultural themes with contemporary art practices.
As a respected member of the China Artists Association, Li holds significant positions including the Vice Chairman of the Fuxin City Artists Association in Liaoning and President of the Fuxin City Oil Painting Research Society. He extends his influence in Shenzhen as the Vice Chairman of the DaFen Oil Painting Village Artists Association and a member of the Industry Association.
Li Tiexiang’s works are celebrated for their dynamic use of color and ability to convey the essence of Mongolian life and landscapes through bold and expressive strokes.
